Old bathtub is removed and turned into shower stall with Stainless Steel Rainfall Shower Panel Tower, glass door, porcelain tile and Nickle plate inserts.Built in toilets are customized and multiple spacious shelves are installed for better ergonomics of the room. Waterproof vinyl plank laminate hardwood flooring is installed. A dark vanity with steel handles complements the concept style of the bathroom. Laminated gloss white cabinets offset with custom mosaic back splash trimmed with stainless inlay. Old ceramic tile removed and replaced with vinyl planks. Bathroom walls and insulation are removed due to water damage from a roof leak. This shower was gutted to the metal studs then cement bard is installed for the walls to accept porcelain tile. The concrete in the shower pan was loose and moist so it's replaced by pouring a new concrete shower pan.
Rotten wood at two locations is repaired then cement board is installed over the plywood to prepare for tile. To acquire the finished result in the pics the below steps were followed. Italian porcelain tile is installed using nickel-plated aluminum L-Angle Tile Edging complete with custom Nickle plate inserts between the two rows of the darker 6x12 porcelain wall trim surrounding the shower and finishing the bathtub enclosure into painted drywall. A custom partition wall and bench are added with porcelain shower floor mosaic extended out to meet with the end of partition wall and pitched to flow water that splashes out of shower stall back into the drain. Italian porcelain 24x24 floor tiles are installed then grouted and cleaned. New base boards are installed and painted. |
